In August of 2002, I was looking for a Golden Retriever puppy when a good friend of mine referred me to your kennel. She had done some extensive research on breeders and had purchased one of your puppies after losing her previous Golden Retriever to cancer. Lisa was kind enough to offer me a male puppy from the current litter that she had for sale that she had considered keeping for herself. I was going through a serious illness at the time and had lost my 6 year old Golden Retriever suddenly to heart failure. We have had "Max" now for over three years.  He is a GREAT dog - very healthy, great personality,  and very good looking!  I would highly recommend your kennel to anyone who is looking for a Golden Retriever puppy.

Sincerely, Vicki Czapla

Hello Lisa,
How are you? Not sure if you remember us. We purchased Willow from you.
His dad is Dexter. I just wanted to send you some updated pics of Willow. He was born on
August 2nd and he is the best dog ever! We are going to be inquiring for another puppy soon.

How is Dexter? Is he still studding?

Vanessa Cheung

Lisa,

Imagine my surprise when I logged on your web site and saw two familiar faces looking at me. What CUTE dogs.  To give you an update, Murphy got one leg in NADAC Jumpers (Novice) a year ago, but because of health reasons  (human) we dropped out of agility for a while.  I hope to get another leg on him soon but then go back to obedience.   He has grown into an excellent dog with a great disposition.  He is still mostly immature and very playful but whenever I do any training work with him he is wonderful; pure golden, with showmanship and a desire to please.  He has been as high as 92 lbs, but now we keep him thin, 82 pounds, (he is a big boy).  We give them both lots of exercise with daily walks and weekly hikes in the Santa Monica Mountains.  They also get groomed every one to two days.  As for Molly, aka Pebbles, she did really well in obedience practice but hated showing, so, we don't do that any more.  She is a wonderful pet, very gentle with children and adults alike, and a happy member of the family.  When we got her she weighed 79 pounds.  She ballooned up to 96 in six months (the picture you have up is of Molly at 94 lbs) but for the last year and a half she has been about 76 pounds and looks great.  Her coat is so dense that she gets very hot; I gave her a puppy cut this summer, but her coat is growing back beautifully.  They are both terrific company and our lives revolve completely around them.  They send woofs and wags,

Dear Lisa, As you know I acquired a beautiful male Golden Retriever puppy from you on September 16, 2004.  I named him Cosmo and he is everything and more a Golden Retriever could be.  He is my first puppy in about 20 years.  Prior to Cosmo I adopted adult Golden rescues.  My first was a female, the second a male.  Both were 5 years old at the time of adoption.  When my male passed away suddenly of cancer in July 2004 I did not believe it was possible to find a dog as wonderful as he was. Cosmo is the love of my life.  At sixteen weeks, when I brought him home he was immediately house broken.  I have never crated him, and he has not ever chewed destructively on anything in the house.  He loves everything and everybody.  He adores children, even though I have none in my home.  He loves to please and is so easy to train.  While he is protective of his home, and alert to strangers, he only barks appropriately.  I was prepared for a year of difficult puppy hood, but he has never given me a second of trouble!  I wish I had room for another one, I would love to get a female puppy for Cosmo, he loves other dogs.Cosmo is the perfect companion!  He is so stunningly gorgeous people always stop us to find out why a Golden Retriever is pure whiteand such a coat, thick and beautiful.  My vet loves him, the groomer loves him, he is very popular!  Thank you for creating such a special dog, he could easily be a therapy dog and I have considered this option.

Lisa,

The pups are wonderful.  I will attach a picture taken last week at the top of the stairs before they were big enough to come  down by themselves.  Those days are over and now they chase up and down just for fun.  They are a beautifully mated pair and truly devoted to each other: always licking, wrestling and snuggling.  Now I know the definition of puppy love.  They are growing so fast you can watch them grow.  Rio is more than twice as big as Aspen.  They are both  beautiful and delightful.  She is the most outgoing and pretty much makes the rules.  He is more happy go lucky, like a big surfer.  The potty training is better this week.  They both made it outside in time all day today and have learned to go to the door and ask to go out.  They are always perfectly content in their crate if they are together, although we only put them in the crate for the night or if we are both leaving the house for awhile.  They go to the vet on Friday for the next series of puppy shots.  I am sure they will grow into bright, sensitive companions as well as gorgeous adult dogs. I do need all the info about their parents.  Like a silly grandmother I am starting a baby book.  I will keep in touch as they progress, and thanks for breeding them.  We are so pleased.

Lisa-

Molly is still under 20 lbs.  We LOVE her and goes everywhere with us.  I have not gotten her fixed yet.  She is so perfect, that I was wondering if we could breed her with another mini.  Would you consider playing match maker?

To Whom It May Concern:

October 1, 2005 is a day that changed we will never forget: it is the day that we picked up dog from your kennel.

In the 2 months that we have owned our goldendoodle, Hector, he has brought nothing but joy to our home. He is handsome, extremely responsive to training, healthy and lovable. While he enjoys playing with other dogs of all ages and sizes, he is happiest when around other people. His gentleness and obvious affection to every human he meets makes him, in our opinion, a perfect pet.

In selecting your kennel to buy our goldendoodle, we had done a significant amount of research on both the breed and the breeder. Upon arriving at your house, we were not disappointed, we found a beautiful well-kept home, with a lawn and kennel area that would bring sheer joy to any dog. The facilities were extremely clean and sanitary and the puppies all looked and felt very healthy. We were able to meet Hector's mother and father, and, while we reserved a male puppy, we were also able to ensure that we like his look and temperment before making our purchase.

Lisa and Fred the owners, were extremely polite and professional; however, what made us happiest, was their obvious love for the dogs which they raise.

If you are reading this letter because you are considering purchasing a dog from them, we can proudly and sincerely assure you that you are going to come home one day soon with a wonderful dog.

Please feel free to contact us via Lisa should you have any questions.

Lisa,
We bought Kepler from you in 2002.
You sent him to us in Colorado Springs. He came from the litter of
Ruger and Jersey--and as you can see he has a lot of both parents in
him. He's been with us for three years now, and he has been a
wonderful addition to our family. I recently sent your website to a friend who asked where we got Kepler. As I was on your site, I thought you might be interested to see a few pictures of Kepler now--I'm sure you wonder how all the puppies are doing as they go to their new homes. Here he is on a hike with my wife and I in the mountains this summer. My parents (Bill and Brigette), who are technically his owner, weren't with us that day. Kepler has been such a wonderful dog--we are all very pleased with him. We hope you enjoy these photos. And please feel free to contact us if you'd like to.

Best,

Dear Lisa,

On July 12, 2003 our beloved Golden Retriever Samantha passed away.
We had her for ten years. It was devastating to our family especially for our two
four year old daughters. We began searching for a high quality breeder and decided on your kennel. Our family was living between Atlanta, Georgia and Naples, Florida at the time. Your kennel was very popular, and the next litter that was expected had already been spoken for. Deposits were made in advance to reserve a puppy. We would have to wait for the next litter. So Lisa made some calls and one of her clients was willing to give me her place in line and wait for the next litter. I couldn't believe she would go to so much trouble for our family! We picked the largest female from the litter and on September 15, 2003 she was flown into Naples, Florida in perfect condition. As we walked out of the airport people stopped us and asked where we got her. She was this cream colored ball of fur with the cutest pink tongue. We call her Sophie Faith. Sophie is laid back, gentle with the kindest expressions. Her color and markings are Impeccable. I have never owned a dog that has gotten so much attention. She is a loving and happy pet for our daughters. Lisa also sent along great information on how to care for this breed. Our vet said she was in great condition, healthy, and beautiful.
Thank you for all you have done for our family. In the future we intend on getting a male from you and calling him Elijah.

Best to you and keep on BREEDING!

Rebecca and Gary Link

Hello,

I just wanted to share a few pictures with you, I picked up Bode from you in August.  He is doing great, growing like crazy, over 50lbs at 6 1/2 months.  Has a wonderful personality and is a star in his training class.  I love him to death.

Happy Holidays, Pat Krogmann ( & Bode  --woof!)

Hi!

I don't know if you remember us.. . We bought a Golden Retriever puppy from you six years ago.  In fact, this is our puppies 6th birthday today.  She was born on February 27, 2000.  Her name is Jenna and we love her so much.  Thank you for this wonderful addition to our family.  She is such a loving and gentle dog.  Her first two years were a bit difficult for us, adjusting to having a dog and she went through some rough chewing and destroying events...but having all survived that... She is such a joy now, you would never know that she was a psycho pup.  Do you ever hear from her other brothers or sisters?  We are always told, "Jenna is the most beautiful golden I've ever seen."  And the kennel where we board her when we go on vacation says that she is the best natured dog; they all love her.

On this momentous occasion of her 6th birthday, we wish you all blessings and a big thank you for our daughter, Jenna!

Regards,

Janice, John, and Bobby Safoyan

Thanks for the best dog- here's gracie at a year and a bit old

Lisa,

I just wanted to write you and let you know how Nala is doing.  She is the most amazing dog.  Everyone that comes in contact with her can't believe how smart she is.  She has brought so much joy into our lives.  I want to thank you so much for breeding such a wonderful pet.  We cannot imagine life without her.

As you know, she had a slight heart murmur when I purchased her from you and since November 2005, she has been given a clean bill of health.  She has been checked by the vet twice since we bought her and we're so happy that she is healthy and happy.  I thank you so much for informing me upfront about her heart murmur and not covering it up.  I could not be more happier with Nala.

I have a neighbor with a Goldendoodle and her dog is not nearly as smart as my dog.  They are inquiring about another Goldendoodle and I have given them your website.  It is nice to know that there are breeders out there like you who produce quality dogs.  You explained so much to me and I am going to purchase another puppy later this year from you for my 40th birthday.  I will send you pictures as Nala is growing up.  Lisa, thanks again for being so great.

Hi,
We bought a male golden retriever from you about a year ago. Just wanted to let you know he is one great dog. We had a problem with a previous Golden that we purchased else where. Buster is a great dog.

Thanks,
Matt Simpson

I will upload some pictures and send them soon.

Hi Lisa,

I got my puppy from you last month. I got the big male pup from your 9-8-05 litter. I live here in CA in Modesto. His name is Tanner and he is really great! He took to the dog door the first night we got home and my husband has basically adopted him as his dog. He no longer sleeps in his crate at night and so far so good (maybe I shouldn't have said that yet) He sleeps in our room with us and the other 2 dogs. Next month we start Private Lessons with the Trainer. He's very smart and knows to sit when he gets a treat and will go on a down command already and to say the least he's full of energy and runs through the family room around and around a few times then he stops. Everyone just loves him. The people at the Vets are crazy about him and treat him like a baby when he's there for his weekly bath. By the way, he weighed 23.7 lbs. last week and they didn't say what he weighed last Friday but he usually has gained 5 lbs. per week. He's BIG!!  Happy Holidays to you and the Family.

Marilyn

Hi!

Our puppy Finnegan that we got from you last spring is SOOOOOOO wonderful.  Except that I get followed by people who want to know all about him. Can't walk half a block without getting stopped.

He was the really big one.  He is huge and still growing.

My question for you is, will you have any puppies avail. for early Feb.?  My daughter's school is having a fund raiser and wants to auction off one of your puppies, if available.  Please let me know.  Thanks so much, Margaret Moore

Sirius (your golden) is wonderful. she is 18 months old now. she has passed her good citizenship test and temperment test and has entered the training program to be a pet therapy dog. we go for classes for 8 weeks. she is a love, and she is so beautiful.
the yellow dog is my new puppy. he is a yellow lab(not the best specimen lol) and he is huge. he already weighs as much as the golden. here are recent pics of sirius.

2 of my maltese are now living with a new family as they werent able to adjust to living in the country, we moved out east and the big dogs love it.

HELLO, I KNOW YOU PROBABLY WON'T REMEMBER ME BUT,  WE GOT A PUPPY FROM YOUR LITTER OF PUPPIES FROM 1/1/05. AND MY NAME IS LORRAINE PLOURDE. ANYWAY REMEMBER MY FAMILY AND I GOT THE LAST PUPPY FROM THAT BATCH. REMEMBER I WAS CONCERNED ABOUT THE COLOR. I WASN'T SURE IF IT WOULD BE DARK ENOUGH OR NOT.  WELL ANYWAY,  I JUST WANTED TO TELL YOU THAT THE DOG WE GOT THAT DAY IS THE BEST, CUTEST DOG EVER!!   WE REALLY LOVE HIM AND HE TURNED OUT TO BE SOOO SWEET!!I JUST WANTED TO TELL YOU THAT. HE HAS A VERY HAPPY HOME AND HE IS VERY HAPPY. TALK TO YOU LATER.LORRAINE PLOURDE

ACTON CALIF.

Hi... this is Pat Driver. I bought Dylan from you not quite two years ago. I'm know interested in a female. If you have any available could you please sent pictures and cost to me so I can pick one. By the way I would have a million Dylans if I could he was born to please and is just a huge piece of velcro. I LOVE HIM MORE THAN I COULD EVER VERBALIZE. All I can say is I love Dylan more than words can say...I And I am convinced that a lot of what I love in Dylan is in the breeding. His personality, if you ever wanted a dog that is your real best friend, wants to be with you and loves you. Listens almost from day one  to commands like come, and sit. He is born to please and I couldn't be happier. All my next dogs will come from you. My Dylan is what I always wanted in a dog and more.

P.S.

I don't know if you watch the dog shows but if you watched Westminster and saw the best five in the show one was a golden. Boomer son .....my Dylan was all that dog was in the body and nicer looking in the face. What a dog I got from you guys :)

He is such a beautiful dog.  I'm not kidding when I say that I'm
constantly stopped when I'm out with him.  Everyone wants to know
what kind of dog he is, where I got him etc...

And his temperment...so great.  He gets a little crazy with the kids,
but for the most part he's so gentle.  He absolutely LOVES me.  And
since I'm newly single, it's nice to have a guy really into me.
(Even if he's furry).

Thanks again for everything.  As I mentioned in my last email, I've
given your kennel name out to dozens of people.  I hope they come to
you when they're looking for a pup.

Hi Lisa,

We brought home one of your goldendoodles in June (Taz). We are thrilled with him! We had originally given you a deposit for a female to, but had decided just to take the male at the time. We would like to purchase a female from you next July. I know that is a long way off, but I just wanted to let you know, not knowing what kind of lead time you're dealing with now. Let me know when I should check back in with you! Thanks!

Kris Kuyper

We love our "big boy"!  He now weights 85lbs, but is very lean. Has huge paws! Always has had, even as a little puppy. I gave Brewski the "shed test" the other day. That's when you brush the dog good, then the next day wet your hand, flick off the excess, pet the dog head to tail three times and count the hairs on your hand. Brewski had 3, so that falls into the "no shed" grouping.  I saw it on a web site so am responding to their survey with my results. I'm happy to give a reference. Would like to hook up with his brother though, to see if he got as big as my dog. We have only trimmed his face and paws a little (so he can see!), but other than that, no clipping. We may take him to the Romp in Bakersfield in April. I'll get back to you with a couple pictures. Ken Hartman

I've been referring you to ,at least, 2 dozen people so far who wants to get a goldendoodle like mine. You can use me as a reference anytime. So what are we doing about getting a male puppy for my brother? I need to fly him eventually or directly to Italy. Do you have any like the one I got?

Thanks, Patrizia

Hi.

I just want to drop you a quick note to tell you how much I adore Reggie.
He is so cute and playful.  He is tall, long and lean.  He weighs in at
about 50 lbs.  He is the center of attention where ever we go.

Thank you for such a great dog.  I'll email photos soon.

Julie Lopez

Hi Lisa,

I hope that you are doing well.  I was wondering if you have any puppy litters available?  Matt and I are considering getting a female pup.  We'd like to have a playmate for Murphy and we're thinking about adopting a golden or goldendoodle.  Please let us know if you have any litters, who the parents are, and when they are available.

I've attached  picture of Murphy and his little brother Will.  He's been so wonderful with Will.  Although, he does like to steal Will's pacifier and socks ;-)

Thanks - Heather Epright

Lisa,

You could not have picked a better puppy for us - we absolutely LOVE him !

What a great disposition he has - and adorable too!

Thank you so very much!

He's going to the vet on Wednesday for his first visit.

I'll send you photos if you'd like as time passes.

Sincerely,

Drago

Hi there
I have wanted to drop you a note for years about how much we LOVE our golden boy Jackson.
We "adopted" him from you as a puppy in August 1998...he was born on June 6 and will be 8 this June. He has such a wonderful personality and he is so gorgeous...people ask us about his breeder all of the time. Now that I have been to your website, I see other dogs that look so much like him. I have attached a photo of him taken in our yard in Ojai...he was snooping around the Plumbago plant and has blue flowers sticking to him.

Hi Lisa,

Almost 2 years ago we purchased a puppy from you (ruger x kiki).  Sam is a WONDERFUL dog and my sister is interested in getting a puppy herself.  She lives in Michigan and I was wondering if you knew of any one out there that you could recommend. Samwise (the puppy we got from you) has grown to be a happy, healthy member of the family. I want 5 more of him!! LOL  He is a joy and a constant companion to our Autistic son Anthony. Thanks for breeding such great dogs.Sincerely

Debora Demora

Here is the picture that you wanted of the 2 dogs that I got from you. The puppy, named Piper, is 8 wks old in the picture.  My other dog, Hailey, is 4 years old.  Hailey really enjoys the new puppy and is happy again.  She was so depressed after my other Golden died (16 yrs old). I also emailed another picture.      I will try to get some pictures in the sun if the dogs cooperate.

Thanks again,
Debbie Bervel

Dear Lisa,
My husband and I bought a beautiful Golden from you four years ago,
Tropico's Lady Sydney of Waverly.  Her sire was Duet's Making Social Waves
and her dam was Tropico's Song Bird.  She's grown up into a wonderful dog
both physically and in personality.  We'd like to get a second female Golden
but we both agree it must be another Tropico Golden.  They're the best.  Do
you have any Golden litters available or upcoming?  We're prepared to make
an immediate deposit on a female.  We're willing to wait if we can get a Golden
similar to Sydney in disposition and build.  Color isn't an issue for us.
Please let me know if there are any puppies available.

Many thanks,
Sarah & Dale Oliver

Greetings from a Golden Retriever lover.  While walking our dog today we crossed paths with a stunning Golden.  Our beloved Golden passed on at l4 yrs. this summer.  He was the perfect dog. We find the absence of a Golden in our household is hard to live with and so have been keeping our eyes open, interrogating all Golden owners.  The Golden we met today was just like our "Buddy" who passed on.  He impressed us very much.  The owner gave us your name.

We're hoping you can send along some price information.  We presently live in North Bend, Washington, but will be moving to San Diego in the near future.  The owner we met said the Golden came from L.A.  If that were the case for us, we would be able to pick him up.  I forgot to mention, we would be looking for a male.  We spend the summers in Montana on our ranch so the dog would have a beautiful life.  We are just the 2 of us and the dog would always be at my side, as Buddy was.  We never send our dogs to kennels , but rather hire live-ins should we leave for a weekend or so.

Forgive me for rambling on.  Looking forward to hearing from you .  Thanks.  Carol and Dennis Nelson

You may remember sending Barkley to us in Williamsburg, VA last Christmas. After one year can only say he is the best dog we can imagine....sweet temperament and really smart...everybody in the neighborhood knows and likes
him.

Attached is a recent pic..(we've cleaned up his beard a bit since)...he was
one of Cream Soda and Daisy's pups.

Thanks again for breeding great dogs...we wouldn't recommend anyone
else...and have a great holiday season!

Happy New Year from Tara and Benjamin.  We hope all is well and thank you again for our wonderful puppies!

Happy holidays to you and your family. Hope you're all doing well.

Just wanted you to know that Charley passed the Canine Good Citizen Test at 11 months. He is adorable and amazing. I can't walk him for five minutes without someone stopping to ask what kind of dog he is, where did I get him etc. People are constantly asking me if their kids can  pet him and then thanking us because he's such a gentle giant. A couple of the women who work at the Gap in Tarzana get upset when I don't bring him in. I have given your name to so many people but who knows if they follow through.

I've started to look into therapy dog programs. Let me know if you have any suggestions

By the way, he is not without a mischievous side. For instance, he likes to stand on his hind legs, put his front paws on the kitchen counter and walk around to check for food! He also knows how to open doors and big tin cans of dog food. I think you should warn first time dog owners about how smart the doodles are.

Riley is also doing great. He's calmer now and just as loving as Charley. They are the best of friends or should I say the best of "uncle" and "nephew." They're both wonderful with my grandson and he adores them. I'll send you a few pictures once I get them on my computer.

Take care and have a healthy, happy new year.

Warm regards,

Ellen M

Great!  We love her.  She is so smart and sweet.  She learned how to sit
and come this week.  She is already getting bigger.  She gets along well
with our cats.  She wants to play with them.  Thank you for such a
wonderful dog.  Yvonne

Hi Lisa:  The puppies are doing great!!!  Maya comes to visit about once a week and all hell breaks loose.  They tear around here and then it looks as though Katrina has hit.  Gretchen did bring her puppy to see us last Friday and they all played together!  He is soooooo different than Maya and Maisey!

I think he is like my friends Labradoodle.  He has that tighter more poodley hair.  Maisey has kind of cowlicky hair some lies flat others stand straight up.  Maya has luxurious hair all standing up everywhere!  Maisey is already 18 pounds.  She doubled her weight in a month!I will send pictures when I get home.  That is where all my pictures are stored! Thanks for keeping in touch!

Hi Lisa,How are you? Here is a current picture of our, now, one year old Mini Goldendoodle Bailey.  She weighs about 34 lbs and we love her to death. Groomed and ungroomed.

Alissa Silva

Here is the picture of Maggie that I promised you.

She is almost 8 mos old now and the sweetest thing.  She follows me around like a toddler.

We would really like to find her brother that is in the area.  Any help you could give us would be great.

Thanks,

Angie Sheaves

Every parent thinks her child is the best, smartest, cutest, and most wonderful;  but when it comes to our mini goldendoodle, Riley, everyone agrees that he is perfect!  He has the friendly, loving, devoted golden retreiver temperament, but he's smaller and sheds less.  My father is very allergic to dogs, even to my brother's standard poodle, but he has no allergic reaction to Riley.  Our last dog was from a rescue organization and developed such a fondness for me, he didn't like anyone else receiving my attention--even my children--so he bit them.  They developed a well justified fear of dogs.  We needed a gentle, docile dog and we got a perfect one from Lisa, thank you Tropico!
